Robbie Williams apologises to Jane Seymour YEARS after he PRETENDED her castle was his on MTV Cribs

Robbie Williams has admitted in the past that his appearance on MTV Cribs in the early noughties was a tad misleading after he borrowed a castle from actress Jane Seymour and passed it off as his own.

And now the singer, 46, has issued an apology to the Dr Quinn Medicine Woman star, 69, for doing so – 23 years later.

‘We didn’t let [Jane] know that I was going to pretend it was my house,’ he told a US radio station this week. ‘And because I was like 23 and full of spunk, I didn’t even consider other people’s thoughts or feelings.

‘So I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to Jane Seymour.’

He added: ‘There are so many castles in England!’

On the show – which sees celebrities invite cameras into their lavish homes to show off the fruits of their labour – Robbie acted as if he owned the property – St Catherine’s Court in Bath.

He even had waiters serve him so as to give an added feel of luxury and wealth.

St Catherine’s Court is situated in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near Bath, in Somerset and was the subject of controversy in 2007 when residents of the picturesque St Catherine’s Valley close to the property were left furious about the house, which the former Bond girl Jane Seymour bought in 1984, being granted a 24-hour entertainment licence.

Robbie made an appearance on Cribs at a later date, but his real home featured this time.

He now lives with wife Ayda Field and their four children in London’s Holland Park, with the likes of the Beckhams close by. Their home is said to be worth a whopping £17.5 million.

Robbie and Ayda are parents to seven-year-old Theodora, five-year-old Charlton, 18-month-old Colette, and one-month-old Beau.

Robbie spent three weeks in quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic and was emotionally reunited with his family on Saturday after 21 days apart at their second home in Los Angeles.

The singer sweetly embraced daughter Theodora and Charlton in the video after running up the driveway to greet hikm, with Ayda, 40, sharing the heartwarming moment on Instagram.

Ayda has remained at home in Los Angeles with her and Robbie’s children, Theodora Charlton, Colette, 18 months, and newborn Beau.

Earlier this month Ayda revealed that Robbie was practising social distancing, after sharing a video of the hitmaker serenading her outside their mansion

Ayda admitted that it was the closest they had been for a while as she filmed Robbie, who had jumped up onto their porch.

The couple then joked that Ayda’s ‘co-dependant mother’ Gwen was trying to get involved in their romantic moment, while Robbie ushered her back inside.

Ayda explained: ‘So we’re just social distancing right now, a lot of people have been asking what social distancing is and I’ve looked it up…

‘And it’s just staying away from bars, restaurants and clubs and your own husband if he’s been to Australia on a plane and in an airport.’

However Robbie then reassured fans: ‘The good news is that I don’t feel too bad, I’ve been told that if you can hold your breath for ten seconds and not cough!’

Although Ayda then agreed to meet Robbie in the garden she insisted that he can’t come through the house.
