Real Housewives of Cheshire personality Leilani Dowding has told that it is “unthinkable” that Suits actress Meghan Markle did not search online for information on Prince Harry before meeting him
Real Housewives star Leilani Dowding has revealed she doesn’t believe Meghan Markle’s claims that she did not research Prince Harry online before meeting him.
Meghan, 39, and Prince Harry, 36, first began dating in 2016 and it is thought that they were paired together on a blind date.
When Meghan sat down with chat show host Oprah Winfrey, earlier this year, she claimed that she did not research the Queen or her relatives ahead of meeting them.
And reality personality Leilani – who is not known to have ever met the Duchess of Sussex – says it is “unthinkable” that Suits actress Meghan did not get online to drop Prince Harry’s moniker into a search engine to find out more about him when the American started dating the royal.
Shutting down the mother-of-two’s claims – Page 3 star Leilani – who is married to The Cult guitarist Billy Duffy following them being introduced via a blind date, like is it thought Harry and Meghan were – says she ‘finds it very hard to believe.’
The glamorous RHOC personality told The Express : “Absolutely not [true] in this day and age, everyone Googles everyone.”
Speaking on her relationship with Billy, Leilani continued: “I googled Billy and Billy googled me, the moment I heard that he wanted to ask me out, I said, ‘You know, send me a photo, what’s his name? Oh, Billy Duffy, OK, let me put that into Google and see what happens’.
“I just find it very hard to believe that in this day and age, anybody would not look somebody up if they were well known. I just think if you’re going on, whether it’s a blind date or anything, it would be so naive not to look up somebody first. Absolutely, Billy did that with me, I did it with him — I don’t know anybody that wouldn’t!”
Meghan and her husband Prince Harry sent shockwaves around the world when they spoke to Oprah in March.

Meghan claimed she was refused help by the palace when she confessed that she was struggling with suicidal thoughts while she was pregnant with son Archie.
And both she and her husband said there had been discussions within the royal household about what colour Archie’s skin might be.
They refused to go into detail about exactly what was said and who had said it, but the racism claims still left people gobsmacked.
In January 2020, Harry and Meghan announced that they would be stepping down from Royal duties and making the move to the United States. The pair – who are expecting their second child – went on to sign a huge Netflix deal as they ventured into TV production.
They have since spoken at length about their decision to step away from the Royal Family.
