Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville has revealed she was taken to hospital after suffering from a mystery insect bite infection.

The Bravo alum took to social media to update fans about her situation as she posted a picture of herself from her hospital bed.

Holding up her swollen hand, the 48-year-old wrote: ‘Hey guys yes I was admitted to the hospital yesterday and I have amazing first responders taking care of me!

‘We are not exactly sure what we are dealing with we believe it may be an infected spider bite💗More tests to run🙏🙏🙏’.

She had revealed pictures of her super swollen left hand the day before on Twitter in which her rings could be seen cutting into her skin.

‘I think I got bit by something in the night!:/I have so much to do today I’m not sure I can go to the doctor (sic)’, she tweeted.

The former model then posted another image from the hospital as she wrote: ‘My little piggy hoofer has an infected bite of some kind (not human) spending my day at ER I wanted to leave but they said I could lose a limb so I’m chilling -ON A TUESDAY!!!!’

It comes months after the mother-of-two suffered from second-degree burns on her face after an accident.

The reality star explained: ‘So this happened to me in December 2nd degree burns all over my face from an accident with a psoriasis light…’

She continued: ‘I am still healing & really didn’t want to share these photos…’

The star stated she only chose to share the images in order to give ‘the 411’ about speculation over the recent change in her appearance.

Psoriasis is a condition that causes red and crusty patches of skin covered with silvery scales. The main symptoms of psoriasis are patches of skin that are dry, red and covered in silver scales.

Mild psoriasis can be treated with creams and ointments. If these do not work, you may need light treatment (phototherapy) or stronger medicines.
