Pussycat Dolls 'embarrassed by tech problem' which saw music start without them

The Pussycat Dolls were embarrassed by a technical issue on The One Show which saw them stand still with their backs to the camera while their latest single played.

Nicole Scherzinger and her reunited group stood there for 30 seconds as their new song played without them moving a limb.

Ironically, the groups first single for 12 years is called ‘React’, which is exactly what they didn’t do as the music played to viewers at home.

There had been great excitement in the studio when presenter Matt Baker introduced the group, saying: “Now performing their new single, it’s the Pussycat Dolls.”

As the studio audience at the BBC show cheered and hollered, Nicole et al stood stock still before Jessica Sutta looked around to see what was happening.

The track was quickly pulled and Matt appeared to introduce the single for a second time.

With the sound now filling the studio, the Pussycat Dolls purred into action as if there hadn’t been any problem but viewers were already flooding social media with their thoughts on the blunder.

As Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt, joined Nicole and Jessica in performing their routine, Twitter started becoming awash with viewers mocking the situation.

The Pussycat Dolls have new music for the first time in 12 years

They played on the fact that they had been called out for their scantily clad, raunchy routines during a funny performance on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway at the weekend.

They sang a medley of their hits for the Geordie duo’s ‘end of the show show’ with Ant and Dec doing their best to cover the girls up after they had stripped down to skin-baring outfits.
