Rihanna has been releasing everything but music, but the true beauty stan in all of us is still truly thankful! Rih Rih has been busy building up Fenty Beauty and disrupting the beauty industry one inclusive shade at a time. Not too long ago we were fangirling over the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Powder Foundation that can keep the oiliest of skin matte, MATTE, and can set your concealer without leaving your complexion looking dusty.
Today she had a surprise launch of the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Skin Tint, £25 available at Boots and Harvey Nichols. This is a brand first as the two other base products from the Pro Filt’r range have medium-to-full coverage. However, in true inclusivity fashion, Fenty has created an uber natural looking base product with a barely-there finish for those with sensitive skin; those that simply prefer light coverage; or those too intimidated by cakey foundations. Team ‘no makeup’ makeup is in for a treat.
The product itself still features Fenty’s signature longwear but in a light-as-air formula that claims to make you feel and look flawlessly natural to the naked eye. The brand has also stayed committed to its ‘beauty for all’ mantra, providing us with an offering of 25 flexible shades that cover all 50 shades of their Pro Filt’r foundation range. As for the science, it’s formulated with sodium hyaluronate, which is an ingredient that leaves skin feeling soft, smooth, hydrated and non sticky. It’s also non-comedogenic which is music to the foundation-phobes’ ears as it won’t clog pores and its lightweight texture will prevent caking up or settling between fine lines.
So it was inevitable we’d put it to the test. Here are five people’s verdicts.

Skin tints are… okay. I am definitely a proud member of the ‘no makeup’ makeup tribe, but I’ve been disillusioned by the idea of skin tints being able to cover even the faintest blemishes. Plus, lightweight formulations for deep skin tones that don’t leave a white cast are hard to come by. I just find them a bit useless, for lack of a better word. However, Fenty Beauty has been mastering the inclusivity range for bases for a long time, so I was feeling optimistic.
Firstly, I love the compact bottle design, it’s clutch-friendly and the drop-tip applicator allows me to drip feed a suitable amount of foundation to build my desired coverage and avoid waste. As for the product itself. On the first swatch, I panicked, the colour looked a bit too light for my complexion. However, as soon as I blended it, it looked seamless and skin-like. When they said light as air, they meant it. I kept forgetting I had it on and would rub my face throughout the day, but it did stay put, hours later.
I do wish it was a little thicker with more moisturising properties. It didn’t cover all my blemishes of course, but I wasn’t expecting it too. However, it was buildable, so I applied a little extra around the eyes to hide those pesky dark circles and to gently highlight my T-Zone and that made all the difference. This is a ‘low maintenance babe’ essential. The fans asked, and Aunty Rih Rih delivered!

I’m a huge fan of Fenty – the Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer and Lip Luminizers are already regulars in my makeup routine – so I was *really* excited to try their new Blurring Skin Tint. Tinted moisturisers are a makeup bag staple for me – I like products that offer lightweight coverage and a bit of glow – and this base ticks all the boxes.
Ideal for life right now (it makes your complexion look great on Zoom) but also the perfect creator of dewy summer skin for life post-June 21, I loved that it seemed to minimise the look of pores and fine lines in an instant. I found it to create a lovely soft-blurred effect, and even after hours of wear, it stayed in place. No budging. I found the coverage to be buildable, too, so I’ll be sure to reach for it when I want a “fuller” makeup look for nights out (remember those?) or lunch with my friends. I’m a huge fan.

This is a lightweight “your skin but better” foundation that melts into skin and leaves you with a finish that is Instagram ready. Filter where?! I applied it with a brush ― fingers are great but I have long acrylics – and it blended easily into my skin. I sometimes find foundations can leave me looking one dimensional and flat but this still left me looking dewy and with a soft glow.
Essential! I’m all about hydrated, natural and expensive looking skin and this helps to achieve that look. Also feels weightless so I’m excited to wear this during summer when I’m seducing someone’s son. The foundation range is extensive – of course, it’s Fenty Beauty after all – so us deeper skin divas can find the perfect shades to enhance our bad ass beauty! Considering I’m not one to use foundation often, I forgot I even had it on, so all in all, top marks from me!

As someone who loves low-maintenance make-up, this product felt like a dream. The drop-tip applicator lets you smooth the Skin Tint straight into your skin without any need for a brush. The result is a dewy, no-make-up look that completely evened out my skin tone and under-eye darkness. I was also surprised, considering how lightweight the product feels, at how long it lasted.
After testing two shades (10 and 11), I opted for 11. Despite being slightly darker than my natural winter skin the product blurred perfectly into a soft finish. I liked the light coverage but did feel that – if I was looking to cover up blemishes rather than even my skin tone – it might not be the product for me. However, with the arrival of Spring and the promise of picnics in the sun, this will definitely be my go-to product for an easy, dewy glow!

I’d say my main skin concerns sit somewhere between those dark circles every woman on earth seems to complain about and slightly uneven skin tone. My skin’s quite blemish-prone which often leaves pigmentation, so I don’t tend to go in for heavy foundations or concealers which can clog pores. That being said, I usually want a bit more coverage than a tinted moisturiser.
That’s where Fenty’s Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint comes in – this stuff is the perfect level of just-right coverage. It’s basically the Goldilocks of face makeup. My redness, imperfections and dark circles were totally disguised, but with no caking or pore-clogging, and the velvety, mattifying formula gives you a glowy, soft-blur finish. Basically your skin, but better. I’ll be wearing this all summer.
