PIERS Morgan has thrilled fans by returning to Good Morning Britain – and is raring to go with a five-day week.

“There are busy weeks and there are busy weeks, this is what they call a busy week,” said Piers as he kicked off his first live show since his half-term break.

Piers later added: “There are a reason Susanna and I are doing all five days this week, you lucky people.”

The presenter is back on TV alongside Susanna Reid to host coverage of the US presidential election as Donald Trump and Joe Biden go to battle.

Giving his take on what to expect, Piers said: “There are lots of people who think when it comes down to the handling of the economy, Trump is better qeupied to get America’s economy back on its feet than Joe Biden.

“Last night – and I find this so offensive and wrong – Trump got the crowd fired up to chant ‘fire Fauci’.

“This is Dr Fauci – the number one infectious disease expert in America. The man who helped stop people dying HIV.”

“The reason he wants him locked up and not heard is because he keeps telling people who serious the crisis is in America.”

“As a betting man, I would say the mood is definitely behind Biden but you never know with Trump and that silent majority who don’t take part in polls and what they’re thinking about doing.

“This is going to be very unpredictable. And sadly it’s going to be a massive mess.

“Neither side is going to concede. It’s going to be an almighty horror story.”

Talking about his phone call with President Trump at the weekend, Piers added: “It’s been a long year.

“He unfollowed. me on Twitter. He sounded very bullish. He believes the swing states aren’t as close as what everyone thinks.

“He told me ‘I’ll be going to so many rallies you wouldn’t believe it’.”
