TV personality and pop star Peter Andre has agreed to let his daughter Princess, who he shares with Katie Price, go on Love Island one day, but with one big condition
Pop star and TV personality Peter knows all about the celebrity lifestyle and the ups and downs of being in the limelight.
So the 48-year-old singer is understandably wary of letting his Love Island-mad teenage daughter be put under the pressures of celebrity life.
And while he’s saying he’s happy for her to go on the show, he wants her to be the host – not a contestant.
That would mean Princess, 14, would have to follow in the footsteps of current Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore.
“Princess has said she wants to do it but I still haven’t changed my mind about that,” stressed Peter, writing in his New Magazine column. “Presenting it? Yes. A contestant? Not so sure!
“She said to me, ‘Would you ever let me go on Love Island?’
“I said to her, ‘When they start doing Love Island based on priests and nuns and they’re having their sermons on Sundays you can go on Love Island but until then no chance’.”
Two Love Island contestants tragically committed suicide after leaving the show and so did the show’s former presenter Caroline Flack.
As a result special mental health screening procedures were put in place for the latest contestants of the show, so they would be better equipped to deal with testing issues in – and after the villa.
Peter and his wife Emily, 32, were gripped by the recent series of the hit dating show despite Emily saying she “didn’t want to watch it”.
Peter stressed Emily soon became “obsessed” with the dramas in the villa.
Princess is Peter’s eldest daughter, one of two children he shares with ex-wife Katie Price.
The former couple share son Junior, 15, as well.
And Princess and step-mum Emily are incredibly close, even wearing matching outfits on a recent trip to London.
In a sweet snap shared by Princess, the wife of Peter Andre puts her arm around her teen step-daughter with both the ladies wearing the same pink jumper and black jeans.
The duo are even sporting the same hair with Princess’s long curls the same shade of blonde as Emily’s dyed locks.
The Andre family went to London for a family break and Princess has been sharing a series of snaps documenting the trip.
