People over 45 invited to get coronavirus vaccine in England as jab target hit

People over the age of 45 are now being invited to get the coronavirus jab in England.

The NHS England website is now allowing bookings for the vaccine from those in their late 40s.

Tory Minister Will Quince tweeted: “Vaccination appointments are now open to everyone aged 45 and over.”

It comes as the Government said all adults in the UK aged over 50 have now been offered a first dose of the jab, paving the way for the next phase of the rollout.
