Villarreal defender Pau Torres insists he’s not thinking about a move away from the club this summer, despite speculation over a move to Manchester United.

The Red Devils take on Villarreal in tonight’s Europa League final, where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be able to get an up-close view of Torres after months of scouting the defender.

The Norwegian is keen on signing a centre-back partner for Harry Maguire and Torres is on United’s shortlist alongside the likes of Raphael Varane and Sven Botman.

Torres, 24, made his breakthrough at Villarreal last season and he’s been named in Spain’s squad for this summer’s European Championships.

However, Torres insists he’s not fazed by talk of a move to Old Trafford and is fully focused on life with the Spanish club.

‘For now I only think as a player dressed in yellow, I see my life linked to this club,’ said Torres.

‘For now I have a contract here [until June 2024] and I do not see beyond this final or what may come this summer.

‘God willing I can be in the Euros. I only want the first title for my club, for my people, and then to represent Spain in a tournament as big as this.’

United are expected to be without Maguire for the final in Gdansk after the defender failed to train with his team-mates on Tuesday evening.

Solskjaer must therefore decide between Axel Tuanzebe or Eric Bailly to partner Victor Lindelof in Poland.

Elsewhere, David De Gea looks set to be given the nod ahead of Dean Henderson while Mason Greenwood could be benched in order for Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba to play in a front three.
