Manchester United slipped up in the Premier League title race in a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United on Wednesday night but Owen Hargreaves thinks the form of Manchester City should be their ‘biggest worry’.

The night before Manchester United United suffered a shock loss to Chris Wilder’s rock-bottom side, Manchester City rolled Sheffield’s relegation rivals West Brom over in convincing fashion.

The two results left City on top of the table, with a game in hand on United, and many suspect Pep Guardiola’s side will now go on and clinch the title.

Hargreaves believes United should be extremely worried by City’s impressive form.

City have conceded only 13 goals this season and look a rock-solid defensive unit and they boast the best goal difference in the division.

And Hargreaves thinks the manner in which they’re finding goals again, without a recognised centre-forward, is bad news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United.

‘I think the biggest worry is that Manchester City are playing as well as they are,’ Hargreaves told Premier League Produtions.

‘The fact that they don’t concede. They absolutely blew West Bromwich Albion away without even playing a centre-forward at the moment and winning 5-0.

‘The bigger worry is that Manchester City look like they’ve found another gear. There was a moment when we were saying: “They’re not scoring, they’re not creating” but yesterday they could have won 10-0.

‘I think for United they’re not not looking like scoring and having defensive issues, Ole alluded to it.

‘Not being in position and not getting out to the ball that’s a bit of a worry because defensively and offensively they have been really good. City are making steps forward and finding their form.’
