Olly Murs reflects on performing with privates 'hanging out' during live gig

Olly Murs has opened up about his most embarrassing on-stage experience – and it involved his private parts falling out in front of an audience.

The 36-year-old Heart Skips A Beat singer has been living in the spotlight since 2009 when he first auditioned on series six of The X Factor.

And over the past 11 years he has toured the world, released albums and unleashed chart-topping singles – while also learning presenting skills and landing a judging role on The Voice.

Now Olly is opening up about his experiences in the spotlight that have left him cringing – with one incident in particular haunting him when he unleashed more than just his vocals.

Olly Murs has recalled accidentally splitting open his trousers live on stage

Olly was reflecting back on 2013 when he supported Robbie Williams on tour.

And specifically, he recalls a gig he performed in Stuttgart, Germany.

After sharing a number of on-stage disasters including losing his voice and struggling to perform through a hangover, Olly told The Sun: “That wasn’t my worst tour experience. That came in Stuttgart, when I was the support act for Robbie Williams.

The incident happened during a 2013 performance in Germany

“The fans didn’t really know me, so I was really throwing myself into it — I threw myself down on my knees and split my trousers, which got me the biggest cheer that I’ve ever had on stage.

“I basically had to do the rest of the gig with my c*** and balls hanging out. So I guess they know me now.”

Olly might want to employ a better trouser manufacturer on his tours as he has split his outfits at other gigs.

In 2017, he ripped open his trousers during a performance in Thetford Forest.

He was forced to cover a split in his trousers again in 2016 after ripping his outfit during a performance at British Summer Time Hyde Park.

While in 2012, he ripped open the crotch of his trousers while doing stretches ahead of a charity event for Sport Relief.
