Odegaard pens letter to Arsenal fans as he makes Real Madrid transfer decision

Martin Odegaard has penned a heartfelt letter to Arsenal fans thanking them for their support during his time at the club.

The letter also confirms that the Real Madrid forward will not be returning on loan to Arsenal in the coming season, in what is a blow for Mikel Arteta’s Gunners.

Odegaard took to life at Arsenal like a duck to water after joining on loan in last season’s January transfer window.

The Norway captain quickly became one of the first names on Arteta’s team sheet as Arsenal competed for glory in both the Premier League and Europa League.

Gunners supporters were desperate to see Odegaard return to the Emirates this summer with talk Arsenal could agree on a permanent deal with Real Madrid for the forward.
