NTAs 2020: Chris Hughes is embroiled in a violent altercation with a photographer as he leaves London’s O2 Arena… after celebrating girlfriend Jesy Nelson’s big win

Chris Hughes found himself embroiled in a violent-looking altercation as he exited London‘s O2 Arena following Tuesday night’s National Television Awards.

The former Love Island star, 27, had been at the awards with Little Mix star girlfriend Jesy Nelson, 28, who took home the gong for Best Factual Programme, for her critically-acclaimed BBC Three documentary.

But the celebrations looked to be short-lived, as Chris found himself grappling with a photographer outside the O2 in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Chris was seen outside the Arena’s neighbouring hotel – the five-star InterContinental – separately from Jesy, lugging several bags with him.

Bow-tie untied, the reality TV hunk was heading for a waiting cab, in which Jesy was waiting with another of their friends, when the incident took place.

While details are sparse on how the altercation came about, Chris was seen being approached by the bundled-up photographer, looking irritated.

The pair were seen grappling with one another as Chris left his bags on the pavement, clasping at the photographer’s coat, as they scuffled outside the East-London venue.
