Pamela Nash, chief executive of Scotland in Union, branded the First Minister’s claims “deluded”.
She said: “These deluded claims from Nicola Sturgeon are an attempt to mislead voters. It would also almost certainly lead to a hard border with England, with massive economic and social consequences.”
Andrew Neil has now interviewed most of the UK’s party leaders for the latest election cycle, with Jeremy Corbyn and Liberal Democrat leader Jo Swanson taking the hot seat before Nicola Sturgeon.
However, the BBC presenter is yet to interview Boris Johnson, and Labour has accused the Prime Minister of “running scared”.
