Nadia Sawalha admits she's not expecting an invite to Stacey Solomon's wedding

Nadia Sawalha confessed she’s not expecting an invite to Stacey Solomon’s wedding.

They have become close friends while working on Loose Women together over the years.

Weddings can go ahead from March 8 with just up to six people in attendance amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Unrestricted big days may not go ahead before June 21 this year as the third national lockdown begins to ease from March 8.

Nadia, 56, lifted the lid on why she doesn’t think she will get an invite to her good friend’s ceremony later this year after Stacey got engaged to Joe Swash on Christmas Eve.

And it’s a result of the coronavirus restrictions on the numbers allowed at weddings.

She told Hello! magazine : “The thing is now weddings have to be so tiny and she’s got a huge family. So I’m absolutely not expecting an invitation. I know that if it wasn’t in a lockdown situation… We’re good friends but it is very restricted at the moment, so I’m not expecting one.”

Nadia teased Loose Women may have a hen do, maybe virtual, in the pipeline for the bride-to-be in the run up to her summer wedding.

In a gushing moment, she insisted they would “fuss” over the happily engaged couple.

“Joe comes on the show a lot and we all love him. We’re all totally soppy over Joe, he’s such a sweetheart, and of course, the boys.”

“We know we won’t be [allowed] many people, but still unclear on exactly how many.”

Stacey explained she may have to plan the seating arrangements with a table per household, depending on the coronavirus guidelines at the time.

She said: “We will most likely need to have a table for every household, but again not clear with vaccine progress etc…” (sic)

Even though her wedding could be postponed, Stacey said doing all the planning has been making her happy during the third national lockdown.

She added: “It may all be stopped like so many people’s special days have been over the last year, but planning and making bits makes me happy and trying to think positively about the future is always nice.”

As a creative soul, it’s no wonder Stacey has gone to great lengths to craft a number of things for the wedding herself.

The blogger has put her mind to the test by making table numbers, wedding invites, favours, homemade confetti and more.
