British-born artist Wahid draws on personal photos of her mother and aunt at their traditional Pakistani weddings in the 1980s, to explore the contrast between their transitions from youth to adulthood and her own. Wahid’s series of self-portraits in her mother’s clothes have Birmingham as their backdrop, where her parents settled and still live today.
