MESUT OZIL took a trip to a drizzly Emirates Stadium on Saturday, seemingly saying farewell to the club after reports suggested Arsenal had agreed to terminate his contract early.
The Gunners midfielder, 32, has been frozen out by Mikel Arteta after being axed from the Premier League and Europa League squads.
And now, amid claims Arsenal have agreed to end Ozil’s contract early to allow him a move to Fenerbahce, the £350k-a-week star took one last trip to the Emirates.
Standing under a picture of close pal Sead Kolasinac – himself loaned out to Schalke until the end of the season – Ozil shared a video on his Instagram story.
Ozil said: “Sead brother what are you doing here?
“Haha, You are in Schalke and now I still see you here… I will see you in the summer.”

Kolasinac swiftly responded to Ozil’s post, simply saying: “Good luck my brother.”
On Saturday, The Athletic’s David Ornstein claimed Arsenal had reached an agreement in principle to end Ozil’s deal early.
The playmaker was set to earn around £7million between now and the end of his contract in June.
But he is expected to fly to Turkey this weekend to finalise his switch to Fenerbahce as a free agent.

SunSport exclusively revealed Ozil is preparing to leave Arsenal this month.
The ex-Germany international joined the Gunners from Real Madrid in 2013, scoring 33 goals and adding 54 assists in 184 Premier League games.
But Ozil hasn’t played for the club since the 1-0 win over West Ham in March having been frozen out by Arteta.
In a Twitter Q&A earlier this week, Ozil admitted his love for Fenerbahce and even compared them to Real Madrid.
He said: “I grew up as a Fenerbahce fan as a kid in Germany – every German-Turkish person supports a Turkish team when they grow up in Germany.
“And mine was Fenerbahce. Fenerbahce is like Real Madrid in Spain. The biggest club in the country.”
