Maya Vander confirms she's leaving Selling Sunset to focus on her real estate firm in Miami

Maya Vander confirmed she’s done for good with the popular Netflix reality series Selling Sunset on Thursday.

The 40-year-old real estate star told Page Six that she had no plans to return to the show, and she’s instead spending her time in Miami, Florida, to focus on her new real estate firm.

She clarified her career move just two days after sharing that she had a miscarriage on Tuesday, which came six months after she suffered a stillbirth.

Maya clarified to the publication that she had ‘decided to not execute my contract’ for another season of Selling Sunset.

‘I love the show, and it was great, but I’m excited to focus on the Miami real estate market,’ she continued, adding that all the cross-country traveling she had to do to maintain her business and to appear on the series was a major stressor for her.

‘I want to focus on my family, and flying coast to coast is a lot. The show is great, and I love everyone, but looking forward to growing my business in South Florida,’ she said.

Vander will be moving on from the Oppenheim group to Compass, which her firm will be part of.

Maya and her husband David Amar also share their two-year-old daughter Elle.

Six months earlier, the reality star suffered a devastating stillbirth.

She shared the somber news on social media with a photo of a memory box presented to her by the hospital.

‘I had a still birth at 38 weeks. I always heard of it but never imagined I’ll be part of the statistics… Instead of delivering a baby, I get to go home with a memory box… I do not wish this on anyone,’ she wrote in her heartbreaking caption. ‘What was a regular weekly checkup turned into a nightmare that I never imagined would happen to me…’

She added that she was posting about the stillbirth because she had discussed her pregnancies on Selling Sunset, so she wanted to avoid future questions about her due date.

‘You will always be in our heart Mason Miller,’ she concluded.
