Tuchel took charge of his first training session on Tuesday evening and will take his place in the dugout this evening when Chelsea face Wolves.
Arteta will now have a few days to work with Odegaard before deciding whether to hand him his debut against United on Saturday.
Odegaard may also face a fight on his hands to become a regular starter at Arsenal with Emile Smith Rowe impressing as the club’s No 10 in recent weeks.
