Martin Compston in brutal take down of troll who called him ‘Scottish pig”


Martin Compston has shut down a vile troll who branded him a ‘smelly Scottish pig” after England won their Euro 2020 match

The actor, who is an avid supporter of the Scotland football team, has repeatedly been targeted by football fans throughout the tournament.



The Line of Duty star hit back at the Twitter troll

But the 37-year-old swiftly snapped back after the latest abuse from Twitter user Shane Cuthbert – even thanking the England fan for following him on social media last night.

The Line of Duty star was tagged in the initial tweet which read: “What you saying Martin Compston you smelly Scottish pig!!!!”

But the Greenock-born star quickly replied: “I’d go easy on the pig shouts with that snout Cuthbert me old son. Thanks for the follow though. Have a lovely evening.”

His witty response has racked up more than 6000 likes within hours as fans hail him ‘a legend’.

One wrote: “Honestly mate, keep these comebacks coming, brighten my day.”

Another added: “Hates are always gonna hate Martin – we love you & love always wins.”
