Martha De Laurentiis after a more than four decade Hollywood producing career that included working with her late husband Dino De Laurentiis has died at age 67.

The Pennsylvania native died on Saturday after a long fight against cancer, according to an article by Variety.

Television writer and producer Bryan Fuller, 52, who developed the NBC series Hannibal that De Laurenttis executive produced announced her death on Sunday on Instagram.

De Laurentiis was born on July 10, 1954 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and formed the Dino De Laurentiis Company in 1980 with her business partner and future husband, Dino.

Dino and Martha married in 1990 and lived in matrimony until his death in 2010 at age 91.

Martha De Laurentiis was credited as Martha Schumacher for her first associate producer credit on the 1984 Stephen King adaptation Firestarter.

She recently earned an executive producer credit for the upcoming Firestarter film reboot due out in 2022.

De Laurentiis was a producer on several adaptations of novels by Thomas Harris, including Hannibal in 2001, Red Dragon in 2002 and Hannibal Rising in 2007.

She was an executive producer on the Hannibal series that ran on NBC from 2013 to 2015.

She was a jury member at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival in 2015 and a graduate of Ball State University in Indiana.

Martha De Laurentiis is survived by her daughters Carolyna, 33, and Dina, 31.
