Mars has just launched the “world’s sweetest internship 2019”

The company, which makes Mars bars, Maltesers, Skittles, Snickers, Starburst, Juicy Fruit and Extra chewing gum – just to mention a few – has launched the “world’s sweetest internship 2019”.

The role involves media work and social media training, but it also includes working behind-the-scenes to sample treats that haven’t yet been released as well as creating flavours of your own.

The dreamy job is an eight to 12 week long, paid internship. Even better, if you get the role, you’ll be handed one year’s worth of candy as a bonus.

The Sun has asked Mars how much applicants can expect to get paid, but we haven’t yet heard back.

The only catch with the role is that it’s based at the firm’s headquarters in Chicago in the US so you’d have to be willing to move across the Atlantic for the time period.

Mars requires applicants to have completed high school, although you’ll stand a better chance if you have a university degree too, according to the job ad.

You must be at least 21 years old by May 20, but still “posses the mindset of a kid in a candy store”, it added.

The ideal candidate should also “not be afraid of ringing every doorbell in every neighborhood on Halloween and be able to name all five fruity flavors from the Skittles rainbow.”

We’d expect the sweet role to be pretty popular, so if you want to apply, it’s best to be quick.

There’s no closing date on the ad, and Mars hasn’t yet clarified when the job starts.

If you fancy getting paid £104,000 a year to go travelling, you’ll want to check out this apprentice role with the Royal Caribbean.

You can also get paid £75,000 a year testing cars, yachts and private islands.
