Mark Wright says 'life isn't plain sailing' and shares adorable childhood snaps

Mark Wright seemed to be in a reflective mood as he shared a string of childhood throwback snaps this weekend.

The former TOWIE star took to his Instagram account on Sunday night as he took a stroll down memory lane.

He said that “life isn’t plain sailing” as he reminisced about his younger years.

Among the photos were snaps of Mark and his mum Carol, photos of him playing with his siblings and cousins and a hilarious one of him having a meal while sitting in a kitchen sink.

He said he decided to share the photos because he is currently writing his own book and wanted to tell his story.

Mark captioned the photos: “Was going through a few old photos the other day and came across this…

“Makes me smile cause I probably didn’t have a worry in the world and thought that my life would be plain sailing – completely unaware of how tough things were gonna be at times but I’m so grateful for my journey, both the good and the bad because it’s the tough times that shape who we are.

“It’s easy to go through life without thinking back to how each individual experience has impacted or shaped us.

“It’s only really since writing my book that I’ve been questioning where my motivation and competitiveness comes from and how it’s shaped me into the man I am today…

“I’ve realised so much of it comes from experiences in the early years of my life.

“Mum & Dad helped me to understand that hard work is necessary to get you where you want to go and I also learned how quickly it can be taken away from you – and so to never take things for granted.

“I knew I couldn’t write a book about finding motivation to live and exercise healthily without sharing my personal story – some stuff I haven’t really spoken about before too.

“Think about those defining moments in your life and use them to give you that push to get fitter, get healthier and get happier.”

He finished the post with the hashtag #GetFitGetHealthGetHappy #Motivation #Fitness.
