Manchester United stewards ejected a supporter for racially abusing Trent Alexander-Arnold during yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

The supporter is alleged to have shouted ‘you f*****g black c**t’ at the Reds defender during the first half of the Premier League clash.

Stewards in the Stretford End at Old Trafford were immediately alerted by those around the supporter in question and took action to remove them from the stadium.

A United spokesperson said: ‘We are aware of an incident at yesterday’s game where an individual in the home section has allegedly engaged in racial abuse.

‘The individual was identified and ejected from the stadium. We are currently investigating the matter as a priority.

‘Racism and all forms of discrimination are completely unacceptable and do not reflect the values of our club.’

The news comes after the Premier League launched its new anti-racism
