Manchester City stars are celebrating their unprecedented record-breaking season with a parade around the city centre on Monday night.
Pep Guardiola’s men have been labelled the ‘Fourmidables’ after securing four domestic trophies during the course of 2018-19.
City have romped to a domestic Treble of Premier League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup – the latter secured with Saturday’s 6-0 thrashing of Watford .
And the back-to-back champions also landed the Community Shield – beating Chelsea 2-0 in August – a trophy which they are also lauding as they celebrate their remarkable season of success.
Among a sea of blue supporters, City’s open-top bus celebrations begin at 6pm at Manchester Town Hall, before taking a 1.5km route through the city centre and finishing at Manchester Cathedral.
City’s men aren’t the only side being celebrated, with the Women’s team also being heralded after their own magnificent campaign.
Nick Cushing’s side landed both the Women’s FA Cup and Contintental Cup in 2018-19.
The celebrations in Manchester are the final opportunity for City fans to pay tribute to outgoing captain Vincent Kompany.
The Belgian defender has spent 11 years at the Etihad, but announced on Sunday his departure after 360 appearances for the club.
Kompany, 33, is returning to his homeland to become player-manager of boyhood club Anderlecht.
