Man Utd's Solskjaer set for crunch Ed Woodward transfer meeting with two stars on agenda

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to meet Ed Woodward and discuss the club’s ambitions in the transfer market. Two players are set to at the centre of the talks.

Solskjaer and Woodward are st to schedule a transfer meeting with the futures of Anthony Martial and David de Gea on the agenda.

The Red Devils coach is desperate to raise funds for a summer splurge with several top targets on his wish list.

United beat West Ham on Sunday night to go second in the Premier League and have gone 13 matches unbeaten.

And Solskjaer is set to be offered a new contract worth £9m-a-year, with United’s board believing he is the man to take them back to the top.

But to do so, the former Cardiff manager has some big changes in mind to his squad while there has already been a shake-up upstairs.

John Murtough was appointed football director and Darren Fletcher has been named their first technical director.

According to The Sun, the first player is Martial – who has had an inconsistent season and could be axed.

The Frenchman has attracted attention from top clubs in the past, including Inter Milan, while the meeting will decide whether or not to sell the forward this summer.

The second player on the agenda is De Gea, who is the club’s top earner on £375,000-a-week.

With Dean Henderson desperate for more first-team action, selling the Spaniard could see United pocket a huge sum, free up a mammoth amount in wages and splash the cash elsewhere in the squad.

Paris St-Germain are known admirers of the 30-year-old as they eye replacements to Keylor Navas.
