Man Utd's possible winners and losers if The Glazers sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Dean Henderson

After David De Gea’s miserable night in Gdansk, which saw him fail to save any of Villarreal’s ten penalties before missing the final spot-kick himself, Henderson looked to be the No.1 goalkeeper elect. However, an injury suffered at the very end of the season meant he missed Euro 2020 and the early stages of United’s season.

Unfortunately for the former Sheffield United loanee, De Gea has found his good form again, meaning Henderson has been reduced to the role of second-choice goalkeeper. Henderson is likely still the long-term vision, and if a new manager comes in, they may seek to hurry his progress and experience.

Jadon Sancho

Cristiano Ronaldo’s epic return to the club meant Sancho’s struggles since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund for £73m have been rather over-shadowed. Unfortunately, the novelty of Ronaldo’s return, from a media perspective, is waring off and the spotlight is slowly creeping towards the former Manchester City academy prospect.

A new manager with new ideas could be what is needed to kick-start Sancho’s Old Trafford adventure, and if Solskjaer is replaced, then the next boss may be obliged to start the expensive new recruit.
