Manchester United have already guaranteed top spot in Group F so there is nothing riding on their clash with Young Boys at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

Despite losing to Young Boys in the reverse fixture and producing a couple of other ropy performances, the Red Devils have already booked their spot in the knockout stages.

Young Boys’ win over United is their only win of the group stage as they sit bottom with four points.

Man Utd vs Young Boys team news

Rangnick has suggested that he may not rest players as he looks to gain momentum, but it seems unlikely that he won’t make some changes to his starting XI.

‘I haven’t finally decided but it makes sense that we rest a few players due to the crowded fixture list over the next weeks and months,’ said Rangnick.

‘We need to keep the positive momentum. It is important that we win the game. We need to make up for losing the first game to Young Boys.’

The likes of Donny van de Beek, Dean Henderson and Mason Greenwood will hope to start the match. However, Raphael Varane, Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial remain out.
