Man Utd vs Villarreal live Europa League final team news and updates from Gdansk

Manchester United’s hopes of silverware hang in the balance as they face off with Villarreal in the Europa League final.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desparate to lead his side to their first trophy since 2017 as they clash with the Spanish club in Gdansk, Poland.

Forward Anthony Martial was unable to make the 26-man squad for the final due to a knee injury, while defender Harry Maguire is also expected to miss out due to an ankle complaint sustained earlier this month.

The United captain did not take part in an open training session on Tuesday but Solskjaer declared: “Apart from that, we’re looking quite good.”

Standing in the Red Devils’ way are Unai Emery’s Villarreal, with the former Sevilla and Arsenal manager looking for his fourth Europa League triumph.
