Man Utd are still waiting to see what decision Paul Pogba makes regarding his future but the midfielder could sit tight for now despite mounting interest as his contract winds down
Paul Pogba: Sell or keep?
Manchester United have enjoyed an impressive transfer window thus far as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to build a team capable of challenging for the title.
Jadon Sancho has been added from Borussia Dortmund whilst a deal for Raphael Varane is edging closer.
A winger and a centre-half were key positions United wanted to address so Solskjaer can be pleased with his business thus far ahead of the new season.
Paul Pogba’s uncertain future has provided an unwelcome distraction and may see the Red Devils assess their central midfield options.
These are the latest transfer rumours coming out of Old Trafford.
Pogba ready to sit tight
Paul Pogba is in no rush to sign a new deal at Old Trafford and could wait until the transfer window shuts to make a decision on his next move, according to reports.
PSG have been heavily linked with a move for the Frenchman, whose agent Mino Raiola has previously tried to force a Manchester exit.
Contract talks have begun but the World Cup winner will not hurry his decision, meaning his situation may not carry on into the forthcoming season.
That’s according to Sky Sports , who reports that Pogba is conscious that the next big deal he signs will likely be the last of his career.
Judge talking with trio
United chief Matt Judge is in the midst of discussions with three more potential signings.
The Red Devils have acted impressively in the window thus far and are looking to bolster their ranks.
ESPN report that Judge has talked with the representatives of Edouardo Camavinga, Ruben Neves and Saul. Niguez
All three players are potentially available this summer and United do want to add a central midfielder.
Camavinga’s age profile makes him an attractive prospect but both Neves and Niguez have proven themselves as regular performers over recent years.
Pereira ready to take “responsibility”
Andreas Pereira has talked up a potential exit as he seeks to do what is “best for his career”.
The playmaker spent last season on loan at Lazio and is now being linked with a switch to Fenerbahce.
“I’m ready to play, I’m not a boy anymore. I’m a man ready to take responsibility,” Pereira told TNT Sports.
“I’m sure that with playing time and continuity as a starter in my position, I can show what I’ve done at the academy, I can score more goals and make assists. A player of my position needs the confidence to play and the freedom to dare on the field.
“In Manchester or elsewhere, the time has come to play, to have at least an hour per game on the field, to have the confidence to play. I want to be happy, to feel important.
“We are focused on looking for the best for my career. That’s what my staff thinks. And I know United want the same.”
