Man Utd transfer round-up: Calhanoglu talks intensify, Van de Beek exit link

Manchester United are now back into full swing following the international break, with successive victories in a week ahead of Sunday’s trip to Southampton.

United are set to have a busier season than most due to their presence in the Champions League, late season start date and active participation in domestic cup competitions.

It is likely that the club will consider freshening up their options in the January window should the opportunities arise, particularly in the defensive and right-wing positions.

Certain fringe players could also leave Old Trafford for pastures new in the mid-season market.

Here are the latest Manchester United transfer rumours for Friday, November 27.

United persist with Dembele

Manchester United have not given up hope of signing Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona, according to Catalan media outlet Sport .

Ousmane Dembele has had a mixed time at Barcelona

United were in negotiations to sign the France international in the closing weeks of the previous transfer window, but no move materialised.

Dembele is now into the final 18 months of his contract at the Camp Nou, and that may force his price down.

A move to Old Trafford is therefore still possible, as Dembele could fill the right-wing position in United’s attack.

United intensify Calhanoglu talks

Manchester United have made fresh contact with football agent Gordon Stipic as they aim to accelerate talks to sign Milan’s Hakan Calhanoglu.

The Turkish midfielder is out of contract at San Siro next summer and looks set to move on as a free agent.

The latest details are outlined by a report in Italian outlet Tuttosport, as cited by Football Italia . It claims that United’s only competition for the player is likely to come from Juventus.

It is reported that the Turkish ace is currently on €2.5million per year salary at the Rossoneri but he is now demanding an increase to €7million, with the player and club far apart on negotiations.

Donny van de Beek has struggled for game time in the Premier League

Donny van de Beek has yet to start a Premier League match for Manchester United and Italian champions Juventus are interested in signing him.

The Dutch international arrived at Old Trafford this summer from his boyhood club Ajax, but has yet to force his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s regular starting line-up.

Van de Beek did impress from the start in Tuesday’s win over Istanbul Basaksehir, but Italian outlet Calciomercato reports of interest from Juve.

It is said that the Bianconeri would rather wait until next summer to attempt a permanent deal for the midfielder, rather than organise a January loan move.
