Manchester United agreed a new one-year contract with Edinson Cavani yesterday afternoon but who else could be part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s transfer plans?
Manchester United have been boosted by news that Edinson Cavani has agreed a new one-year deal at the club.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking to add further players to his squad for next season as the Red Devils aim to mount a Premier League title challenge.
United have witnessed improvement in the league this campaign, with Cavani the club’s standout performer out of last year’s summer arrivals.
The Uruguayan striker has scored 15 goals in 35 appearances since joining as a free agent and has thrived at Old Trafford.
But who could Solskjaer be looking to tie down to a deal this summer?
We have taken a look at the latest rumours below.
Sancho wants England move
Much of United’s transfer talk in the last year has been dominated by Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils failed to agree a fee for the 21-year-old but are believed to be interested in re-entering negotiations this summer.
Sancho is contracted until 2023 at Dortmund and recently pledged his commitment to the club, though German publication Bild believe the English youngster is determined to move back to his home country ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Both Manchester clubs are listed as the two most likely destinations for Sancho.

The Red Devils have been urged to recruit West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Former United midfielder Keith Gillespie believes that a player such as Rice would provide Solskjaer’s side with the quality need to push on to the next level.
“You look at teams that do well, they have a good holding midfielder,” he said during an exclusive chat with This is Futbol.
“You look at Leicester with Kante, he was so pivotal to their success. Fernandinho has been so pivotal to Manchester City’s success, and Rodri will be doing the same for years to come because he’s a fantastic player.
“We can see Declan Rice is comfortable on the ball, uses the ball well, and you need somebody like that. It’s a position they need to strengthen in.”
Bissouma demands Brighton exit
Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma has requested to leave the club this summer, it has emerged.
It now appears as though Bissouma is prepared to force through a move away from the Amex, according to a report from The Times.
The Mali international joined the Seagulls in 2018 from Lille and has since established himself as one of the best in the midfield department.
