Manchester United are still eager to add reinforcements to their squad after a strong season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian rode a rocky period of form to cement his position at the club, and now has United’s attack firing on all cylinders.
The hope now is he can have the club challenging for the Premier League title once again.
The catalyst for that, in the eyes of many, will be fresh faces, with Jadon Sancho one of the club’s main targets.
Here are the latest Manchester United transfer rumours.
Henderson set for new deal before departing Old Trafford
Manchester United have earmarked Dean Henderson for a big pay rise and another loan deal.
Henderson, 23, is coming off the back of a fantastic season with Sheffield United during which he proved his credentials as a Premier League goalkeeper.
The Blades would be happy to welcome him back to the club, although reports had indicated Henderson would spend next season challenging David de Gea for the number one spot at Old Trafford.
This comes just days after Henderson confirmed he would be willing to leave Old Trafford in search of first-team opportunities.
“I think it’s clear for everyone to know, I want to play for Man United and England,’ he told Danish TV channel TV3.
“It feels really hard at the minute. It feels like I always hit a brick wall. Maybe I’ll get the opportunity, maybe I won’t. But then I’ll have to look down a different avenue.”
Dortmund statement after Sancho spotted in the UK
Borussia Dortmund have released a statement explaining why Jadon Sancho was spotted in England this weekend.
Sancho, 20, is Manchester United’s priority target this summer but the two clubs are locked in tense negotiations.
Fans of the Red Devils felt there was a breakthrough when Sancho was spotted alongside rappers Krept and Konan, both United fans, at a friend’s party in England on Saturday.
But any hopes that a deal is close were dashed by Dortmund’s director of media and communication Sascha Fligge, who insisted Sancho is due back to training on Monday.
“It’s common and fine for players to go home before a training camp if they’re not risky,” Fligge said.
“The same goes for Jadon [Sancho]. From our point of view, the pictures that have been shown to us so far do not violate.”
Levitt set for loan move
A host of Championship sides have reportedly taken an interest in loaning Dylan Levitt as he prepares for a departure from United.
Levitt, 19, has made one senior appearance so far for United, in the Europa League against Astana.
According to Wales Online, United believe that senior football could push Levitt into Ryan Giggs’ international squad. The report states Giggs is a big admirer of the midfielder and routinely talks to United academy boss Nicky Butt about his progress.
Giggs has embraced youth with his Welsh squad and, after representing the nation at youth level, Levitt will be keen to earn a senior cap for his country.
Last season saw him play 12 times in the Premier League 2, a period during which he recorded three goals and four assists.
