Manchester United are expected to field a strong team when they take on Liverpool this afternoon in the FA Cup.
The Red Devils have been in fine form this season, last losing a game on November 1 when they were beaten by Arsenal.
Since then, it has been a remarkable run that has seen them fly up to the top of the Premier League.
Credit must go to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was under huge pressure at the start of the season.
But United are in the midst of one of their best campaigns in years, despite their early exit from the Champions League.
All that is missing is a trophy and the FA Cup could be the one for Solskjaer.
United were knocked out by Chelsea in the semi-finals with the Norwegian still looking for that elusive piece of silverware.
And he can lay down a marker against Liverpool but with the Reds under pressure, Jurgen Klopp will not be taking any liberties.
With Klopp set to field a strong XI, Solskjaer will follow suit – setting up a tantalising contest between the old rivals.
The recent match between the two ended in a 0-0 stalemate with both sides cancelling each other out.
Solskjaer has almost a clean bill of health for the match, with Victor Lindelof back in the squad while key stars Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba all set to start.
The Red Devils coach said after the 2-1 win over Fulham : “Victor will be fine for the weekend, it was just too quick a turnaround we felt with the travel and with his back.”
Marcus Rashford started the Premier League clash between the two on the bench but can be expected to make the XI today.
Dean Henderson is likely to resume his cup duties over David de Gea while Alex Telles could replace Luke Shaw.
Solskjaer has preferred a midfield pivot of Fred and Scott McTominay, allowing Pogba and Fernandes to operate further up the pitch.
And at Old Trafford, United are frighteningly strong – not conceding an FA Cup goal since Dimitri Payet struck for West Ham back in March 2016.
United predicted XI: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Telles; Fred, McTominay; Rashford, Fernandes, Pogba; Martial.
