Man Utd predicted starting lineup vs Istanbul Baseksehir for UCL clash

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to make three changes to his starting lineup as Man Utd look to bounce back from defeat at Arsenal and take a step closer to Champions League knockout qualification.

The Red Devils have returned a perfect record so far in their European campaign after impressive wins against PSG and Red Bull Leipzig.

Last week’s win over the German club was particularly emphatic, with Marcus Rashford netting a hat-trick off the bench in a thumping 5-0 win.

Up next is another tricky tie in this season’s so-called ‘Group of Death’, as United make the trip to Turkey to face Champions League debutants Istanbul Basaksehir.

And Solskjaer looks set to opt for experience over youth for the clash, as he prepares to name a star-studded lineup.

Both Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes are poised to start alongside each other in midfield, with Nemanja Matic also included.

Rashford is also handed a starting berth following his treble on Wednesday, but will likely be operating on the left-hand side as Solskjaer switches back from a diamond formation to a 4-2-3-1.

Anthony Martial is fresh after missing Sunday’s fixture through suspension and is in line to spearhead United’s attack.

At the back, Solskjaer is expected to go with his usual selection, given Alex Telles is still ruled out due to coronavirus, while the United boss ignores calls for Axel Tuanzebe to be given another run-out.

Meanwhile Edinson Cavani will have to wait a little while longer for his first start but will be among the substitutes.
