Paul Pogba could be dropped back to the bench again for Sunday’s crunch clash with Arsenal despite his decent showing in the midweek win over Red Bull Leipzig.
The Frenchman has not started in the Premier League for Man Utd since the 6-1 humiliation at the hands of Tottenham.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to rest both Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford for Wednesday’s 5-0 win, but both are expected to return to the starting XI vs The Gunners.
The inclusion of Fernandes is likely to push Donny van de Beek back out of the side, while Scott McTominay is odds-on to replace Pogba in midfield.
Anthony Martial will also lose his place to Rashford following his teammate’s impressive hat-trick in their Champions League triumph.
Winger Daniel James was involved from the off in United’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea last Saturday but was subbed before the hour and is also expected to be among the substitutes.
That provides Mason Greenwood with another chance to prove his credentials in attack after getting on the scoresheet against Leipzig.
Juan Mata was also dragged off last weekend but the Spaniard is in line to retain his starting berth having been in good form since the campaign began.
United will stick with their regular back four and David de Gea in goal.

New signing Alex Telles is still ruled out after returning a positive coronavirus test following the international break.
Perhaps the bigger question surrounding United’s lineup is whether they will stick with the diamond formation which worked so well against Leipzig, or revert to a 4-2-3-1.
Should Solskjaer opt to go for the latter, Rashford would be likely to start on the left-hand side, with Mata operating on the opposite flank and Fernandes in the hole behind Greenwood.
