Paul Pogba transfer message
Manchester United star Paul Pogba should stay at Old Trafford as he’s their best midfielder, former Red Devils boss David Moyes claims.
He told talkSPORT: “Pogba is still Manchester United’s best midfield player and I think Pogba can play for any team in the world. He’d get a game for any team.
“I’m not sure he’s a player who is consistent and makes a difference all the time.
“I think for the profile he’s got, you hope he makes the difference. He doesn’t always do that for me. But I think he should stay at Manchester United.
“I don’t think he wins games like Messi does for Barcelona or Ronaldo’s done for Juventus.
“He’s a really talented player and he’s got a lot to give.
“His best for me was then he was at Juventus. He joined in more and got closer to the opposition box.
“Pogba is at his best getting near the box and trying to score a few goals.
“If you were picking United’s team, I still think that Pogba would be in their midfield.”
Solskjaer wants TWO strikers
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly after two strikers in January.
The Red Devils have struggled this season and sit down in 14th place in the Premier League table after nine games.
They have scored just ten goals having let Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez both leave in the summer without replacing them.
And now it’s been claimed that Solskjaer wants two strikers in January as he aims to get Manchester United back on track.
The Sun report that Solskjaer will be backed with funds to improve his side with United struggling on the pitch.
Mario Mandzukic boost
Mario Mandzukic has halved his wage demands to complete a January move to Manchester United.
The Sun say the Juventus star has slashed his £300,000-a-week wage demands in half.
Mandzukic, 33, wants to move to Old Trafford in January with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperate to land a new striker.
United almost signed the Croatia international in the summer, however, the deal collapsed late on.
Jadon Sancho to Liverpool
Liverpool “have great interest” in Jadon Sancho and the Reds could rival Manchester United in signing the Borussia Dortmund star, Dietmar Hamann claims.
“What I hear is that Liverpool have great interest,” Hamann said to Sky Germany.
“I would imagine that next summer they could become one of the biggest interested parties.
“He’s from Manchester City and I do not know if he would come back again, and it’s a thing for Manchester United, too, if they’ve ever been to the rivals.”
Gareth Bale signing backed
Gareth Bale should make a return to the Premier League and Manchester United “would love to have him”, claims former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood.
“I think he’s still a young man, he’s so fit, still quick,” Sherwood said on beIN SPORTS, before referring to United’s well-documented interest.
“They don’t want him, quite clearly. I would love him to come back to the Premier League and go to one of the giants in the Premier League.
“And I’m sure there’s a club I can think of, up north, plays in red, who would love to have him there.”
