Man Utd meet Liverpool in FA Cup fourth round draw as Arsenal discover opponents

The FA Cup fourth round draw has thrown up some mouthwatering clashes – with the tie at Old Trafford the pick of the bunch.

Man Utd will welcome fierce rivals Liverpool just a week after meeting them at Anfield in the Premier League.

Meanwhile Arsenal have been handed a tricky tie away against the winner of Southampton vs Shrewsbury Town.

Man City, Chelsea and Tottenham all earned favourable draws against lower league opposition, while Leicester travel to Championship promotion chasers Brentford.

Elsewhere, National League North side Chorley got their rewards with a home tie to come against Wolves, and could meet Arsenal should they progress to the next round.

And giantkillers Crawley make the trip to the south coast to face Bournemouth fresh off the back of beating Leeds.

Chorley given Premier League opportunity

Chorley have been dangled a mouth-watering FA Cup carrot, as they could face Arsenal at home in the fifth round.

After seeing off Derby, the non-league outfit must now overcome Wolves in the fourth round to have a chance of facing the Gunners.

Of course that would require Arsenal to hold up their end of the bargain, with Southampton or Shrewsbury next in their path.

Elsewhere in the round Crawley could also meet Premier League opposition in the form of Fulham or Burnley if they can find a way past Bournemouth, while Everton could meet Tottenham if both sides progress.

United meet fierce rivals Liverpool

The pick of the fourth round then sees old rivals collide at Old Trafford as Man Utd host Liverpool.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored the winner against Liverpool at the same stage during his playing career on the way to United winning a prestigious treble in ‘99.

And the fixture will come just a week after the two sides meet in the Premier League.

Elsewhere in the round, Arsenal travel to the winner of Southampton or Shrewsbury, Chelsea host Luton, while Man City head to Cheltenham.

Non-league Chorley are also handed a cracking tie at home to Premier League Wolves.
