Manchester United were left frustrated after they squandered a golden chance to equalise in their 2-0 defeat at Arsenal .
The Red Devils were trailing 1-0 when they were awarded a free-kick in a great position just outside the Gunners box.
There was a massive build-up to the kick between Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba and Fred as they discussed their masterplan to try and beat Bernd Leno.
Yet it all came to nothing as Rashford fired a wayward strike miles wide of the post, much to the dismay of United fans.
Just moments later, a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang penalty left them 2-0 down as they suffered a first Premier League defeat under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
And United fans blasted the comical free-kick build-up between three of their stars which resulted in a frustratingly poor effort.
Fans slammed the “most useless meeting of the week” with others joking that “Pogba took 95 seconds to tell Rashford he’ll run over the ball”.
The trio were blasted as being “like primary school kids” and people asked “wonder how long it took Pogba, Fred and Rashford to come up with ‘you dummy you dummy it I’ll shoot’.
Others remarked they “knew Pogba was going to miss” as they blasted the youngster’s poor track record from dead ball situations in recent weeks.
Many felt Pogba should have been given the job of trying to test Leno, as he instead ran over the ball in an unsuccessful attempt to deceive the Gunners.
It proved to be a frustrating afternoon all-around for United, suffering their first Premier League defeat under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and being dealt a major blow in the race for the top four.
