Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sends message to Ed Woodward with new contract response

“For me, it’s about results and if we keep improving we have a very good opportunity because this team and this squad is going places.”

Ahead of the match with Southampton, Solskjaer confirmed Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay are unlikely to feature.

He said: “We hope they’re going to be okay and probably will be. But it looks like Paul [Pogba] and Scott [McTominay] might be unavailable still.

“It might come a little bit early for them, so we have more or less the same squad that was available for Istanbul.

“Jesse [Lingard] is back after his isolation, so he’s been training for a couple of days as well.”
