Man tries and hilariously fails to use morph suit to hide from fiancée’s Zoom calls

A man tried to use a green morph suit to make himself appear invisible in the background of his fiancée’s Zoom calls, and the results, while not successful, were hilarious.

Instead of rendering him invisible on screen, the suit just made him look a bit like a blurry bearded alien ghost, and he was almost certainly noticed on screen by others on the call.

The man, who posts under the username tailoredbits, shared his failed attempt at invisibility on TikTok.

The video, titled simply ‘Flawless execution’, starts by showing the green suit, which would pretty much cover him from head to toe.

‘I bought this green morph suit so I’d stop showing up in the back of my fiancée’s Zoom meetings,’ he wrote in a caption over the clip.

Then the clip cuts to his fiancée talking on a Zoom call as her partner walks behind her.

Unfortunately, his idea didn’t quite work, because, rather than being completely invisible, he just looked green and blurry.

The suit also had a hole cut out for his face, meaning his face as well as the mug he was holding were both quite clearly visible.

Maybe he can use it for Halloween? (Picture: TikTok/tailoredbits)

He seemed to realise his face would be on screen a little too late, and tried to cover it with his other blurry hand.

All in all, not the most successful endeavour, but points for trying.

Evidently not the desired effect (Picture: TikTok/tailoredbits)

Even though it didn’t work, the clip has earned 6.6million likes so far, so hopefully he still thinks it was all worth it.

One person commented: ‘This should not be as funny as it is,’ while another wrote: ‘I haven’t laughed for two years until today, you cured me.’

Others simply played along, with one writing: ‘Yo what how did that mug float like that?’

Another person commented encouragingly: ‘It works perfectly buddy.’

There’s even a comment from the official TikTok account for Zoom that reads: ‘Buying this brb’.
