Bros drummer Luke Goss has revealed he secretly split from his wife three years ago.
The star wed Shirley Lewis in 1994 and last year when they were hit with split claims they put on a defiant display on the red carpet at TV BAFTAs at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
But now the musician, 52, has admitted that he and Shirley – ended their union in 2017 during a candid interview.
The singer turned actor spoke on how he went on a road trip to mend his broken heart following the breakdown of the relationship,that began ten-years prior to their marriage, and explained that despite him no longer being with Shirley he will always love her.
Reflecting on the desert trip, the When Will I Be Famous? hitmaker told The Sunday Times magazine: “I was in a bad place in my life and decided to go camping alone.
“I’d just split from my wife. I’ve never admitted to this publicly but she moved back to England to be closer to her daughter and family. We are officially separated now but still best friends. I will love her to my dying day.”
Last year, Luke and Shirley’s relationship hit headlines after reports emerged claiming they had split.
A source told The Sun: “Luke and Shirley spent weeks at each other’s throats but now their marriage is over for good.
“Close pals have told them to take a breather and not give up on their 25 years together — but Shirley’s had enough.
“Luke is sick and tired of the rows and wants an end to all the stress and negative energy.”
Luke and Shirley, who worked as a backing singer for Elton John and George Michael, tied the knot in 1994.
Shirley is mum to daughter Carli Wheatley from a previous relationship.
Shirley is yet to break her silence on Luke sharing the news that they are no longer togethe.
