Love Island's Molly Mae Hague has lump removed from breast in hospital

Love Island’s Molly Mae Hague told her followers of her health scare as she had a lump removed from a breast in hospital.

And the influencer was smiling with relief as she shared a picture of herself with a cannula in her arm following the procedure.

She also revealed she’d had a lump removed from her finger during the same visit.

She wrote on her story: “I spoke about a lump I found in my boob on a recent vlog of mine. Well I had it removed today. Check your bodies people.”

She added: “Also had a lump removed from my finger that I’ve spoken about a few times too.

“Also having a cannula put in my hand has always been without a doubt my BIGGEST fear… so that in itself is a HUGE achievement for me.”

Molly, who just months ago also had a mole removed from her leg which was a malignant melanoma, had been concerned about the lump for some time.

Although she had previously been reassured that it was not harmful, she became aware that it had grown and told her followers about her medical history in August.

She said at the time: “I basically noticed a little lump in my boob, went to get it checked and it was completely fine, completely benign.

“It’s a little thing called a fibroadenoma and it’s a normal thing to get at this age, small lumps can happen all the time it doesn’t mean they’re sinister.”

“I went back today to get it checked and it had grown a little bit, again, it doesn’t mean it’s sinister, it doesn’t mean it’s dramatic, so the doctor recommended that we did a biopsy.”

She also urged fans: “It’s an important subject and we should all be checking our boobs and checking for lumps so we can do things like this.”
