Love Island's Molly-Mae Hague butchers Scottish accent as she watches Shrek


Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague had Scottish Twitter in fits of laughter today after she attempted to do the accent.

Whilst she was having a cosy day at home watching Shrek, the 22-year-old shared on her Instagram Story to her 6 million followers her attempt at the character’s Scottish accent.

During the scene between Shrek and Donkey at the swamp, Molly repeated lines, but even she realised she wasn’t very good after she captioned it: “The Scottish accent needs work I’ll admit.”

Fans were quick to take to Twitter to slam her terrible attempt.

One said: “Molly Mae trying to do a Scottish accent on her insta story is something else gets funnier the more you listen to it.”

While another added: “molly mae doing her scottish accent is so cute aw.”

Just last week, the influencer announced that she is the new Creative Director for online retailer PrettyLittleThing.

The 22-year-old has been in close partnership with PLT since leaving the villa in 2019 and signing a £1million deal for a fashion collaboration.

The star gushed on Instagram : ” I’m beyond ecstatic to announce that I am the new CREATIVE DIRECTOR of Pretty Little Thingfor UK/EU.”

“This is the biggest move in my career so far and I can’t explain my gratitude to my favourite brand in the world for trusting me with this role.”
