Love Island's Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor confirm they're in relationship


Love Island stars Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor have finally confirmed they’re a couple and say they are “in love”.

The reality stars, who met in the 2019 series of the ITV2 dating show, announced the exciting news and as they both shared the same loved up snap on separate Instagrams.

In the snap, Maura, 29, and Chris, 30, gaze lovingly at each other as they cuddle up in Dubai.

Maura captioned the photo: “He’s mine. @christophertaylorofficial.”

Chris echoed his new beau and wrote: “Turns out I fell in love with my best mate!”

Fellow Love Island contestant were quick to congratulate the happy couple on their news, including Scottish star Laura Anderson who commented: “Why am I crying? #bestnewsever”.

Rumours have been rife about that the pair were dating as far back as July as they appeared flirty social media.

Maura and Chris were on the same series of Love Island but were never coupled up on the show.

But they have always insisted they’re just friends and have constantly denied dating rumours, until now.

When previously asked if they could veer be a couple, Chris said: “Yeah, potentially. We’ve never really thought about it like that, we’re just super close mates.

“We care about each other, we look out for each other, we basically bully each other.”
