The cheeky chap won the looking for love series with Dani in 2018 but they split in April the following year.
And now, the former salesman – who recently sparked speculation that he is dating TOWIE’s Frankie Sims, after snaps of the pair kissing appeared on Demi Sims’ Instagram Stories over the Bank Holiday weekend – has shared that he may have missed out on finding love in the villa because he “spent so much time with the person he was coupled up with.”
Jack says that due to being at Dani’s side 24/7 it meant he did not get to know other potential suitors – such as Megan Barton Hanson on a flirty level.
During a question on Heat’s Love After Love Island show, which the Essex native took part in with glamour model Megan, he told that he should have coupled up with her.
After the pair were quizzed on who they would like to have dated in the Spanish villa, Jack told Megan that she would be top of his list.
He proudly declared: “I would say Meg!”
Telling him she did not want him to say her out of pity, Meghan replied: “Oh don’t give me a sympathy one!”
Jack then explained that they are a good match, as he added: “We have been out loads of time after and you are on a level we have a laugh so I would probably say you as you are fun.”
Hinting that they could have got close in the villa if Dani was not around, he continued: “Also, I spent so much time with the person I was coupled up with that we didn’t get to know – whereas we actually had good conversations, have a laugh, a lot of common interests and do the same things.”
In 2019 Jack revealed the real reason why he and Dani broke up.
After their split, Dani found love with ex Sammy Kimmence and has since welcomed a baby with him but Jack went on to star on E4’s Celebs Go Dating.
During his time on the show, he told dating agents Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson about where he felt his relationship with Dani went wrong.
He insisted that he had a “genuine connection” with Dani but that they had rushed certain decisions.
Jack said: “If we had lived in Love Island forever, we’d have been fine. We rushed it straight away, we moved in together. I did want to [move in with her] but I wish we had waited.
“I let her rush me a little bit. We had a genuine connection in there and I think anyone can see that.
“Honestly, and I mean this, I wish her all the happiness in the world. I’m not a bitter person. Oh, 100% I’m over Dani and now I want to go and meet someone.
“I’ve missed out on so much dating, I haven’t done it in over a year.”
