The cast of Love Island 2018 are now living their best life in the villa – and fans of the ITV2 show are enjoying a very sexy series.
As per usual, eleven singletons were initially hand-picked for the annual romance Olympics, which is fronted by the ever-dutiful Caroline Flack, with more joining as the series continues and the unlucky ones get dumped from the island.
This year, they range from a soap star’s daughter to a hunky doctor who’s destined to get pulses racing.
But who exactly are the contestants? Where are they from? What’s their background?
Here, we reveal everything you need to know – meet the girls and boys in the Love Island 2018 villa.
Profession: Business development manager
Ellie, who admitted having a thing for Dr Alex before going on the show, knows resident snake Adam Collard already because he went out with her best friend – and dumped her for being insecure so there’s potential fireworks waiting to happen there.
She considers her smile as her best attribute.
“I love my smile,” she said. “Everybody always asks if I’ve had my teeth done. They’re all real. I’m proud of them. Luckily I haven’t had to fork out any veneer money.”
She also described herself as being an “open book”: “If I’m in a situation where I’m annoyed and trying to calm myself down, it shows on my face. I have resting bitch face. The best thing about me is that I’m honest and real.”
Profession: Glamour model
Megan says her “big boobs and big bum” will stand out from the other girls in the villa who are “all very toned”.
She says: “I’m very honest. A lot of people our age play games or put across an impression of how they want to be seen, and then their true colours come out.
“My mum says sometimes I’m too honest. I’m also very loyal. My boobs often get complimented.”
Age : 20
Profession : Student and Part-time barmaid
From : York
Beautiful brunette Georgia may have been single for the last two years, but she knows what she doesn’t want: someone cringy.
“Cringy really turns me off,” she said ahead of her introduction to the villa.
“I like someone who’s real and treats me like a lady. I also like someone who is manly, protective and fun. It’s good if they have a bit of banter about them.”
Her perfect first date would be drinks then clubbing.
From: East London
As you should know by now, Dani is the daughter of EastEnders star Danny Dyer.
She previously appeared on Survival of the Fittest, but quit after sustaining an injury to her leg.
She bills herself as a “girly girl” and claims she’s hoping for female friendship as much as romance. Unfortunately, her biggest fear about taking part in Love Island is, err, dating.
“Dating has never been great for me. It’s such a personal thing but you’re doing it on national television.
“Falling for someone, not liking someone, letting someone’s feelings down. I’m the sort of person that would rather be hurt than have to tell a boy I don’t like them.”
Good luck with that, then…
Profession: West End performer
Fresh from the theatre, where she starred in Mamma Mia! and Dreamgirls, Samira is destined to give a good performance.
“I’m a boy’s girl,” she purrs. “All of my best friends are boys. Girls can be catty. It wouldn’t phase me going head to head with someone for a guy.”
Fighting talk aside, she does have a vulnerable side – her ex-boyfriend cheated on her, which makes her wary of new suitors.
“The biggest turn off would be if they weren’t funny. Even if they’re beautiful but have no personality and are just dry, I physically can’t have a conversation.
“Another big turn off is spitting – it makes me feel physically sick.”

Profession: Cabin crew
From: Stirling, Scotland
This blonde beauty has literally travelled across land and sea to meet Mr Right.
“I live in Dubai and I’m also Scottish,” she declares. “I’m also probably a bit older than the other girls. In some ways it’s an advantage being older as I’m wiser and know what I want more so I can judge people quicker.”
On the cusp of turning 30, she’s hoping to trade on her glamorous image [“I think my hair extensions are glamorous. I’m quite stylish”] but she’s also very averse to cheating, which is unfortunate.
“I think it’s the lowest of the low. It’s very selfish.”
Petite Georgia is another late arrival to the villa. The pretty brunette, whose Instagram is awash with minxy bikini selfies and wild nights out with friends – will join love-seeking hopefuls on the island as the fraught recoupling begins.
Sources close to the barmaid confirmed her new gig to Mirror Online.
She’s certainly not shy when it comes to showing off her body, posing in thigh-high boots, bum cheek-skimming skirts and see-through tops.
As for what she’ll bring to the villa, she hints that she won’t be one to trample over her co-stars to get what she wants.
“I know my mind is very strong and my heart is very good,” she captioned one shot of herself.
Profession: Gym owner
Sam reckons he will “inject some energy” into the villa and admits that he is “quite reckless”.
Before appearing the villa, he teased: “I make quick decisions. I don’t really think about what I say, I’m very impulsive.
“That will bode well with the girls I think. They’re waiting for someone with a bit of energy.”
Hi initial attractions were Georgia, Samira, Zara and Ellie.
Profession: Social media host
From: North London
The modest lad has apparently “been told” that he’s a handsome chap.
He says: “I think that I’m funny, energetic, I have a good sense of humour and I’m fairly good looking, or so I’ve been told!
“I think I am a well turned out individual, I’m in good shape, I dress well and people do say that I’ve got a fairly decent smile. I’m a bit of an entertainer and I like to make people laugh.”
Is there a doctor in the house? Yes. There. Is.
This delicious specimen hails from Carmarthen, West Wales, and is – as a resident medic in a local A&E department – well-deserving of sunshine with sexy women.
However, if you’re looking for on-screen passion, you’ll be disappointed. He’s vowed to be a good boy in order to keep his career intact.
“You’re recorded 24 hours a day and I just want to make sure that I behave in the right way,” he says.
“I absolutely love my job, I’ve worked since the age of 13 to get here and I go to work every day and I genuinely enjoy it.”
Profession: Sales Manager
Flying the flag for people without six-packs, Jack proves it’s more than possible to be sexy without being gym-sculpted to within an inch of your life.
“Physically I think I’ve got really nice teeth, everyone compliments me on them,” he asserts, flashing a pearly smile.
Handsome, articulate and confident, he’s the perfect Love Island contestant.
And, thankfully, he’s not afraid to demand standards from his women.
“Girls being fake, talking behind people’s backs or farting,” he says of his biggest turn-offs. “I don’t want a girl farting or burping in front of me.”
Quite right, too. It’s bovine.
Niall Aslam – QUIT WEEK 2
Profession: Construction Worker
“Physically, I don’t think I have one stand out feature but I think I’m all around quite pleasant, ” he said before he entered the villa, under-selling himself.
“Also the fact that I’m quirky and funny.”
Unfortunately, his banter will need to be on top-form as he has a serious problem with masticating.
“I chew really loudly. I’m like a barn yard animal. It’s really bad.”
On June 12 Niall quit the villa for personal reasons. Islanders were told: “For personal reasons unfortunately he can’t continue or come back to the Villa.”
Reacting to his departure in the Beach Hut, Georgia says:
“Obviously I was coupled up with him so obviously I came closer to him than most people in here but it wasn’t just that. He was actually my friend, my buddy.”
Profession: Electrical Engineer
Six-pack? Check. Pecs? Check. Cheeky smile? Check.
Yet, while this Midlands hunk certainly has good looks, he’s also the intelligent type. “With my job and I am very academic,” he stresses.
That said, he also gets plenty of compliments on his cheekbones, which he thinks will impress the ladies.
His flaws? “Definitely timekeeping, I am always late. I always procrastinate and leave things to the last minute.”
Brand new Islanders in separate villas
Just when you thought Love Island couldn’t get anymore explosive, 12 brand new boys and girls headed into Casa Amor and the villa.
This proved to be a major test for many of the main couples, as some of the newbies were looking to potentially tear apart blossoming relationships.
One new Islander was even a certain someone’s ex – and Dani Dyer wasn’t best pleased.
All the original boys headed over to the new villa, Casa Amor, for a couple of days – where the new girls also lived too.
Meanwhile, the original girls stayed at the villa, which is where the new boys enjoyed staying.
So who are the new boys and girls? Find out here.
And the Islanders who have been dumped…
Kendall Rae-Knight – DUMPED
Profession: Retail Manager
DUMPED WEEK 1
Adding even more northern grit to the series, Kendall hails from the Las Vegas of, err, Lancashire.
Interestingly, she’s recently had a life overhaul – after her fiance went AWOL.
“This time last year I was in a five year relationship, I was engaged, had a house, and I was all settled down ready to have children,” she says.
“He proposed in the June and then three months later said he didn’t love me anymore. He left. Now, seven months down the line, I feel like I’m ready to move on and start dating.”
Well, she’s definitely in the right place…
The only thing that may hold her back, according to her, is her “squeaky voice”.
“When I get really excited it gets even worse!”
Hayley Hughes – dumped in week two
Jetting in from Merseyside, catwalk star Hayley is set to sizzle.
Yet, although she looks like a man-eater, her dating experience has been limited.
“I’ve only been in one relationship, and only slept with one guy,” she confesses. “I was with him for five years. We got together at such a young age, when I was 16.”
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the prospect of Love Island makes her skittish.
“Imagine if no one stepped forward for me. I would die!” she squeals. “I would be booking the next taxi [home].”
We don’t think she needs to worry…
Charlie Frederick – dumped in week two
The young hunk describes himself as “honest and upfront”.
Chaz tries his best not to lie, so lets see how long that lasts once he’s in the villa.
He says: “I am a born leader. I like to be centre of attention but not too much and also I like to bounce off people, have a bit of banter and have fun.
“I do go to the gym a lot and look after myself so hopefully people might like my body and my face, I am a model so I’m the package! I try my best.”
Rosie Williams – dumped in week three
Age : 25
Profession : Solicitor
From : Glamorgan
Rosie applied to the show because – despite eight years in law school and qualifying as solicitor of the senior courts of England and Wales – she “wasn’t made to be behind a desk”.
She describes herself as “unpredictable” and “definitely not your typical solicitor” who’s looking for a man who will make her laugh.
“I don’t like a boring guy who takes life too seriously, I like to experience all life has to offer so I want someone I can do that with,” she said ahead of her first appearance on Love Island.
“I’m like a bottle of champagne – you can shake, shake, shake and one day my top will come off and I’ll explode everywhere!”
Eyal Booker – dumped in week four
Eyal is the Mark Owen of this year’s show, which is fitting considering he once had a stab at chart stardom.
“I was in a pop band once called EverYoung,” he quips.
“We had small time success and toured the country, built up a little fan base and there was fan girl hysteria. They’d follow us around and come to our gigs and stuff so that was a little taste.”
From next week, however, the female attention will be filmed – and he’s predicting some eyebrow-raising scenes.
“My parents, my sister and my Gran might see something that they don’t necessarily want to see.”
Zara McDermott – dumped in week four
Profession: Government advisor
Zara considers her intelligence as her best attribute: “I’m intelligent, which means I’m quite good at reading people. I’m always analysing people.”
However her worst attribute is that she “falls in love really quickly”, which she says makes her quite serious.
Zara has said that she is looking for someone to vibe and connect with and can “keep her on her toes”.
But before entering the villa, Zara had her eyes on two men in particular.
“I really like Adam, he’s very attractive,” she said. “In terms of longevity though, Alex has a lot of potential.
“But I need to get know him more though – I don’t think we’ve seen how fun he can be. Maybe I can bring that out in him!”
Adam Collard – dumped week 5
Profession: Personal Trainer
In case you hadn’t guessed from his appearance, Adam isn’t lacking confidence.
“The way I look makes me stand out a lot,” he says. “I’m alright looking and tall.”
Adding: “In my personality, I would say I’m reasonably level headed, I’m pretty chilled in situations and I don’t get on people’s nerves.”
So what’s he looking for?
“A dominant girl who keeps me on my toes but who is also genuine and down-to-earth. Someone I could take home to family if I wanted to.
“I’ve been out with people before who are very materialistic and I can’t stand that.”
