Love Island 2021 is just one week away and 11 singletons have been confirmed to enter the Mallorca villa.
The popular ITV2 reality dating show is making its comeback on June 28 after almost 18 months away from screens.
Iain Stirling and Laura Whitmore will be back on voiceover and hosting duties for this year’s summer series, which will be filmed at a lavish villa on the Spanish island.
Ahead of the show, it was reported that the television hopefuls had their phones confiscated and are already in quarantine.
This year, Love Island bosses assured that it is taking the welfare of its cast very seriously as they gear up for a bumper series, The Mirror reports.
So, here are the 11 contestants gearing up to storm the villa next week:
First up is former glamour model Shannon Singh, 22, from Scotland.
The 22-year-old from Fife says she used to work as a glamour model but refuses to be “ashamed” about her past and has described them as her “glory days”.
Shannon regularly posts sultry snaps on her Instagram account, sharing them with her 150,000 followers.
She also models for Savage x Fenty, Nasty Gal and Pretty Little Thing.
She explained: “I used to be a glamour model when I was 18/19. I loved those days, I’ve got nothing to be ashamed of, they were my glory days. Now I’m more on Instagram/ YouTube. I’ve done a bit of commercial modelling. I can DJ as well.”
Faye Winter, 26, is another contestant to join the main line-up.
The estate agent loves her job and hopes to return after leaving the villa: “I absolutely love it! I’ve actually only taken a sabbatical from work because in my ideal world, I’d love to go back to work.

“I try to make it as Selling Sunset as possible. I’m definitely there in the mini dresses, boobs out, bum out, turning up and you can see the wives say to their husband, ‘You’re staying outside’. It’s so fun.”
Semi-pro footballer Toby Aromolaran, 22, from Essex has been single his whole life.
On why he’s doing the show, Toby said: “I’ve never been in a relationship. I thought, ‘If Love Island can’t find me a relationship then no one can’.”
He also revealed that he plays for football team Hashtag United.
Financial marketing executive Chloe Burrows, 25, is another addition to the Majorca villa.
Of the kind of man she’s looking for, Chloe says: “Because I am quite a big character and quite loud, they would have to be as loud, if not more.
“I could never be with someone who is quiet. Someone that gives you a bit back.”
Next up is Brad McClelland, 26, a labourer who has been single for two years, lives with his nana and has never been on a date.
When asked about his job Brad said: “I try and make as much money as I can by doing as little as possible. They’d probably say – not lazy, as I’m energetic – I just try to get away with doing literally nothing.”
Looks like Brad McClelland underwent quite the transformation in recent weeks.
In just under three months, the laborer was able to achieve amazing definition in his core thanks to lots of grueling workouts.
Model and fashion blogger Kas Kamwi, 26, is confirmed in the 2021 line-up.
Ahead of her entry to the Love Island villa, Kaz revealed that she certainly wasn’t the ‘mum’ of the group.
She said: “I’m fun, dramatic, spontaneous. Friendly as well. Light-hearted. Life is a party – I’m not the mum in the group, my friends are not looking at me to look after them!”
Jake Cornish will join the group in the Majorca villa.
The 24-year-old tattooed hunk comes from Weston-super-Mare and is a water engineer.
Jake revealed that he was in a very long-term relationship before the pandemic hit last year.
When asked about why he wanted to join the series Jake said: “I was in a relationship for seven years and then when lockdown hit, I was single. The opportunity is there, you might as well take it by the horns and go for it.”
Hugo Hammond, 24, is a PE teacher and cricketer, who is also Love Island’s first disabled contestant as he was born with clubfoot.
Explaining his condition, he said: “I was born with clubfoot. I had lots of operations when I was a kid. You can only really tell when I walk barefoot. I’ve got a really short achilles heel. I walk slightly on my tip toes.”
“I’ve actually played cricket for England PD (Physical Disability). I’ve been to Bangladesh, Dubai, I’ve been everywhere to play cricket,” he revealed.
Nandos waitress and marketing student Liberty Poole, 21, is the third confirmed Love Islander.
“Obviously I want the best summer ever because we have been in lockdown for a year so it would be nice to go away and enjoy the sun and make friends as well.
“I’m excited, I’m a bit of a social butterfly so I love to meet new people. I’m a girls’ girl as well so I can’t wait for the girly friendships. It’s going to be fun!”
Love Island confirmed former beauty queen Sharon Gaffka was one of the first contestants for the 2021 series.
“Sharon has conquered beauty pageants, worked on government policies and is now ready to take on the villa!”
The 25-year-old former Civil Servant is looking for love and ready to get stuck in when she arrives on the show next week.
Hailing from Oxford, the islander says she is the most outrageous in her friendship group.
Aaron Francis, 24, is a ‘VIP events host’ who organised the weddings of both Princess Eugenie and Beatrice.
He explained: “Yeah, Eugenie and Beatrice’s over the summer. I hosted and chatted. It was nice and intimate.
“Everyone’s chill. In my job you meet a lot of famous people… unless you’re Beyonce, I’m not really interested.”
