Lorraine Kelly brands Prince Andrew 'tone deaf' and 'deluded' on live tv

Lorraine Kelly blasted Prince Andrew live on air today as she discussed The Queen ‘s plans for Christmas and what she would do if faced with the rule of six.

The prince made headlines the past year thanks to his links with disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

He continues to deny any wrong doing, while staying largely silent, but Lorraine has taken exception to his actions on a number of occasions on her daytime ITV show.

And the Scottish presenter took another opportunity to get a dig in when she talked to Royal Editor Russell Myers about what The Queen will do this Christmas, with the British public being told to expect a very different festive season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It has been revealed that Her Majesty has already cancelled her annual Christmas Day church visit over fears that large crowds will gather to see her.

One thing that is expected to be in force this Christmas is the rule of six, although it could well be that families in some areas won’t even be able to do that.

And, speaking about The Queen, Lorraine asked Russell: “How on earth is she going to get it down to six?!”

He replied: “I’m sure she’ll be able to elbow a few people out the way this year. A couple maybe won’t be invited, mentioning no names.”

Lorraine quickly responded: “Talking about Prince Andrew!I don’t know why I made that connection,” before laughing.

She then added: “He wants to get back to public life…is he deluded?!”

Russell answered: “The way to rehabilitate himself in the eyes of the public is to get on a plane or get on the phone to the FBI!”

And having the last word, Lorraine said: “Keep an eye on Prince Andrew; tone deaf, tone deaf!”

One viewers took exception to Prince Andrew even being discussed, tweeting: “OMG Giving Andrew Air Time. Think of the Victims. No to Prince Andrew being mentioned till he Tells All to the US about His Good Friends.”
