Liverpool host West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday evening as the Reds look to leapfrog their city rivals Everton and return to the top of the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are coming off three straight wins, having beaten Sheffield United in the Premier League and both Ajax and FC Midtjylland in the Champions League.

They face a Hammers side that has been performing well, though, and have drawn with Manchester City and Tottenham in their last two contests.

David Moyes’ team have also thrashed Wolves and Leicester so far this campaign and look a much better proposition than many expected before the season began.

Liverpool vs West Ham team news

Liverpool are missing Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho, but Joel Matip may return to ease their injury crisis in the middle of defence.

Otherwise it could be teenager Rhys Williams or Nat Phillips playing alongside Joe Gomez at centre-back.

Naby Keita, Kostas Tsimikas and Thiago Alcantara are all pushing for returns but none are likely to start.

Michail Antonio is the big miss for West Ham as he sits out with a thigh injury.
